Our No-Bake Church Window Cookies recipe is my go-to holiday cookie, because it only requires 5 ingredients, and it’s so quick and easy to make! 

The line between candy and cookie is blurred with this chocolate-covered marshmallow confection, covered with shredded coconut and chopped walnuts (you can omit the last two if you aren’t a fan, or if there is an allergy).

Ingredients needed to make No-Bake Church Window Cookies: chocolate chips, butter, shredded coconut, walnuts, and colored marshmallows.
No-Bake Church Window Cookies is the perfect last-minute cookie recipe to keep on hand for the holidays. You only need pastel mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, butter, shredded coconut, and walnuts (or pecans) to make them!

Ingredients

Melting chocolate chips and butter in a saucepan to make the base of No-Bake Church Window Cookies.
Start by combining your butter and chocolate chips in a bowl. Can’t you already just taste your rich and delicious Church Window Cookies? Yum!

Step 1

In a heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat, stirring frequently.

Be sure to stir consistently in order to avoid your chocolate burning to the bottom of the pan.

Step 2

Allow mixture to cool 5-10 minutes, so it doesn’t melt the marshmallows.

Step 3

While chocolate is cooling, prepare the rolling station by laying out 2 large pieces of parchment or wax paper on a working surface and evenly spread 1 cup of coconut.

Step 4

In a large bowl, mix the marshmallows and nuts.

Step 5

Add chocolate over marshmallow mixture and stir to combine well. 

Step 6

Divide mixture in half and place on top of coconut.

Step 7

Shape into logs and roll up tightly in paper.

Step 8

Refrigerate 2-4 hours or until firm enough to cut **you can also freeze about 15 minutes to get a clean cut.

Step 9

Slice into ¼ inch thick cookies.

Yes! To freeze the unsliced log of Church Window Cookies, wrap well in plastic wrap, and then place inside a freezer bag for added protection. You can freeze them for up to a month.
